Our infant program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Your baby will feel loved and secure in our nurturing environment. Holding, rocking and singing comprise a large part of the day. Babies are fed and diapered often so they are happy and comfortable. We work closely with you to make sure your baby's day at the center reflects the loving care you give at home. Our stringent health and sanitation policies allow your baby to explore and learn in a clean, safe environment. Some activities include: classical music & exercise, story time, singing, finger-painting and balls & push toys.
Our Toddler program runs from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The toddler rooms are arranged so that children learn through play. By actively exploring different learning centers, toddlers learn to make choices, play cooperatively and begin to assume some responsibility for putting materials and toys away. We help toddlers work through conflict while gaining independence. Through example, positive guidance and an appropriate environment, children will thrive and learn with no more than the usual small upsets. Some of the activities include: water-play, puzzles, painting, art, music, story time, dancing, singing, outdoor play, tumbling, nature walks, dress-up and play dough. MEALTIME & SNACKS____________________________________________________________ Infants are held with their bottles until they wish to feed themselves. We follow your directions as to types of food and when they should be introduced. Toddlers are introduced to a variety of nutritious foods and encouraged to feed themselves. They may have as many servings as they wish and are served milk or juice in a cup. We also accommodate special dietary needs. DIAPERING & POTTY TRAINING____________________________________________________ We check diapers hourly and change as the need arises. State law prohibits us from rinsing out cloth diapers or underpants so they are bagged "as is". To create a diaper surplus for those emergencies when your child runs out, we take 3 diapers from each bag you bring in and label them. Toilet training is available when the child is ready. Children in potty training are taken to the bathroom frequently. A staff member aids the child in sitting on the toilet and teaches necessary hygiene. We work closely with parents on an individual basis. Clothing that is easy to manage encourages self-reliance. Because toilet accidents can often be prevented if children can quickly pull down their own pants, we require children "in-training" to wear pants with elastic waist bands until they can easily unbutton/zip their own clothing.
